In this mad, fast-paced world, sometimes all we crave for is just a little peace and quiet. But it can feel like we've forgotten how to relax.
Ancient cultures of East Asia had it all figured out. The Hindus and Buddhists had ideas of harmony between ourselves and the world, and the concept of Nirvana - achieving inner peace and release from the world's suffering through meditation and the emptying of one's mind.
Sphere of Life's designers take a lot of inspiration from this ancient wisdom. They have just created a gorgeous new necklace called "Mandala". This is inspired by the Hindu and Buddhist Mandala art, designed as a form of meditation to grant inner peace to those who paint it and those who see it.
In the new Mosaic bracelet collection there are several charms (or Icons) inspired by Asian spiritual notions. There is "Nirvana", showing the Buddha meditating - a great reminder to take the time to reflect on things and relax.
Another one is "Calm", featuring the "Om" symbol, a sacred Hindu word symbolizing God, the divine and universal consciousness. The word is uttered repeatedly to help meditate and achieve calm and peace.
There are so many other spiritual jewellery pieces by Sphere of Life, that we're going to have to devote another blog entry to them! Stay tuned next week while we explore some more...
